How do you maintain a high level of quality control?

Our highly experienced technicians work with precision, handling minute components inspecting and testing every device sold. 

 

What does the testing and diagnostic process involve?

We check refurbished devices and reset to factory settings with certified and original components. We check the unique IMEI numbers to ensure we only sell legitimate high-grade products. Our quality assurance process guarantees our products perform at optimum levels for every customer. 

 

Do you use the same tests for all mobile devices and handsets?

Yes. all products sold though Oceanstar have undergone a strict and professional quality control testing process for functionality. 

 

Our refurbished phones checklist:

1.Appearance:  99% new , no bumps, scratches and bends 

2. Button: make sure the pressure sense and function of each button are working

3. Charging: make sure the phone can be charged normally and charge at least one grid 

4. Touch: make sure all icons slide smoothly

5. Display: no crush, leakage and aging on the black-white-gray interface 

6. 3D: Press the APP hard to see if a menu can come out 

7. Directional Rotation: Turn on Directional Rotation to rotate on the Calculator page 

8. WIFI function: Set WIFI to check whether WIFI can be connected normally 

9. Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth in the settings to make sure other devices can be found

10. Fingerprint/Face: Set TOUCH-ID and password to make sure fingerprints can be entered 

11. Light Sensing: Setting-Display and Brightness, automatically-adjusted brightness to see brightness changes under different lights 

12. Compass: Open the compass to make sure it is normal 

13. Gyroscope: Turn on the level function to make sure it is normal 

14. Photography: Turn on the camera and check whether there are black marks on the front and back image heads or whether taking pictures is normal (you can take a blank sheet of paper to test) 

15. Video: Turn on the mobile phone camera and check whether the front and back cameras can record 

16. Camera: Turn on the flashlight to check whether it is normal 

17. Voice Recording: Turn on the tape recorder, Siri, and check whether the sound is entered 

18. Headphone: You can plug in headphones in the recording interface to listen to whether there is sound 

19. Mobile phone and WIFI signal: Check the signal strength in the screenshot of the mobile phone interface 

20. Call and distance sensing: Make a phone call, check whether the handset and speaker are normal, and check whether the call and distance sensing are normal 

21. Wireless charging function : Put the mobile phone on the wireless charging board to make sure it can be charged normally 

22. Analyzing Data: Settings-Privacy-Analyzing and Data 

23. Video recording: Turn on the flash to record for more than half an hour 

24. Reset: Settings-General-Reset

 

After all above manual test, we will test every phone by NSYS. 

 

If any component tested do not meet our standards, we replace them. Each part is then carefully re-tested to ensure it meets our strict Quality Assurance standards.
